Cross Lane Primary School

Miss. Wallis is the design and technology leader at Cross Lane. She has worked at Cross Lane since September 2022 and teaches in Key Stage One.

Miss. Wallis studied design and technology at A-Level. She is eager to use her knowledge to guide the pupils to use their creativity and imaginations to design and make a range of products in real-life contexts. She is passionate about ensuring that all pupils reach their full potential in the subject and develop a range of skills that they will use into the future.

At Cross Lane we are following the Kapow scheme of work for design and technology. This will enable a clear progression of skills throughout key stage one and key stage two, ensuring full coverage of the National Curriculum objectives for the subject. Miss. Wallis will closely monitor the teaching and learning of design and technology and review the use of the Kapow scheme to ensure that the children are receiving a high-quality education in the subject.
