Mrs Deacon
Geography Curriculum Leader
Geography is led by Mrs Deacon, who is also the school's SENDCo. Mrs Deacon teaches in Key Stage Two in Year 3. Her previous experience teaching in Key Stage One means that she has a thorough knowledge of what it means to be a geographer for children at the start of their learning journey at Cross Lane. She is a member of the Geographical Association which allows her to keep fully up to date with the latest research and the best ideas for our school, embedding them into a relevant and exciting curriculum.
As a Senior Leader, Mrs. Deacon is passionate about ensuring that the curriculum is broad, balanced and accessible to all learners.
Mrs Deacon loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, camping and climbing!
